SNOW DAY in Scottsdale, AZ! [Whattttt]

Today is February 22, 2019 and we had been having rain for about over 24 hours when we woke up this morning. I scrolled on FB and saw that a few people had posted snow photos in Scottsdale. Back near Christmas time I was hoping it would snow in Scottsdale and I told Anderson I would take her up to see the snow. Welp, it didn’t end up snowing, but today it did! I knew we had to go. We couldn’t let this opportunity pass by without going to check it out. We would regret it later!

I called my grandma and told her we would come pick her up in about an hour to drive up there! I then called my cousin Brandi, and asked her if she wanted to join us we could pick her up in a bit! Once we got the car all packed with some of our favorite people, we headed up to where we had heard there was snow. Just past Troon North Golf Course there was snow! We were worried because it had no signs of snow and so I was like crap, I probably brought them up here and there is no snow left! It was still raining and we figured we would keep driving a few more miles to make sure if we could see it. Then all of a sudden it turned to a WINTER WONDERLAND! I have never seen so much snow in Scottsdale. I have seen like a tiny bit of snow fall but nothing really stick, and I just have seen photos not anything in person. We couldn’t believe it!

We parked and got the kids out. I just had their rain boots but crossed my fingers that they would work! If they didn’t , oh well we would just have some wet kids for a few minutes and I would just take their clothes off while they sit in their car seats! They got to have a snowball fight with REAL snowballs [not just with the cotton balls at Dr. Curran’s office] and Anderson and I even built a snowman. It was so pretty seeing the cacti have snow on them. I am pretty sure cacti should see more snow because the oxymoron is just breath taking!

This is a memory I will forever cherish with my kiddos and my grandma and cousin.

Such a fun opportunity to go adventuring and see this historic day in Scottsdale!
